About the Play
In the shadow of the struggle to hold on to life, the true story of a cat, a transsexual, and a young woman converges at a point about belonging and love. Among the many beautiful colors of humanity, the most important is the anguish of losing love, the challenge of overcoming being “other” or “less,” and the difficulty of becoming “you” — a lament that reaches high and profound places… A delicate cry about being human, being an animal, and, above all, being a “soul”… for those who want to hear it.
“When you don’t belong, leaving becomes your real dream. Where you go doesn’t matter; what matters is escaping the place you don’t want to be. It’s more like imagining love itself than imagining the person you’ll fall in love with. I think I imagined leaving and imagined love where I went.”
“Pain decreases when it touches pain; love increases when it touches love. We already have so much pain, so I held on to these innocents.”
