Izmir Fringe Festival

Fringe is an open arts festival where artists present their work freely. It values experimentation, diversity and new voices, and turns everyday and historic places into stages.

Izmir Fringe Festival makes room for new ideas, unexpected experiments and brave little steps into the unknown. Artists, audiences and the city move together.

The festival’s stages spread across the city: streets, historic buildings, workshops, the seaside, markets and empty warehouses. Wherever people gather, a performance can begin.

Multilingual and multicultural, it brings different disciplines and ways of storytelling together, and especially invites independent artists, young creators and anyone who wants to try something new. Its question is simple: what happens if we try?
